The probes and sensors are essential to ensure the optimal functioning of a car-free car. These components permanently measure different parameters (temperature, pressure, position, engine speed ...) and transmit this information to the computer or control module. They ensure reliable, economical and pollution standards.
In a modern vehicle, engine management is based on the data collected by a multitude of sensors. Each probe has a specific function and provides an electrical signal in real time, which is interpreted by the calculator to adapt the injection, preheating or the ignition.
• Engine temperature sensor : Measures the temperature of the coolant and triggers the fan or warns the driver in case of overheating.
• Air temperature sensor : Used to adjust the air mixture-fuel.
• Lambda probe : Controls the wealth of exhaust gas to reduce pollution and optimize combustion.
• Oil pressure probe : Alert in case of pressure drop, thus protecting the engine.
• Preheat probe : Enables the relay to prepare the start of diesel engines.

• Do not force if the probe is seized: use a device and let action.
• Respect the recommended tightening torque.
• Check the tightness and reconnect the connector correctly.
• Clear the default codes with the diagnostic suitcase.
• Start the engine and check for the absence of alert indicators.
• Check the parameters in real time to confirm the correct operation.
• Do a road test and observe the general behavior of the vehicle.
• Reconstroulate connections after a few kilometers.
