What is the role of your fuel filter ?

The fuel filter is an important and necessary part for the longevity of your engine because it helps to fight against its main enemy: dirt. It prevents particles and other impurities from the tank from reaching the fuel system. It also prevents water from reaching the injectors and therefore the injection system when condensation occurs. By protecting the engine, the filter extends its life, prevents premature wear and excessive fuel consumption. There are different types of filters. Some are not just limited to filtration, they also regulate pressure and temperature. Depending on the model, they are placed at the level of the engine or under the vehicle, at the level of the rear wheels.

When to change your fuel filter ?

In general, vehicle maintenance experts recommend changing the fuel filter once a year or between 15,000 and 20,000 km depending on the case, or up to 60,000 km for gasoline engines. However, certain signs may tell you that it is time to change it. If you feel at-more or less regular blows, that you have difficulty starting or the impression that the engine is struggling more, it is better to replace it without waiting any longer.

Why change your fuel filter ?

The fuel filter avoids the potential dangers caused by the fuel, namely the attack of the engine resulting from the accumulation of impurities. A dirty engine is a sick engine. If the filter does not perform its function effectively, your vehicle will present more or less serious symptoms: overconsumption, pollution, less efficient engine. In the case of diesel engines, it prevents water from mixing with the fuel, which could lead to the destruction of expensive components around the engine.

    ARTICLE 7 : DROIT DE RÉTRACTATION En vertu des dispositions des articles L.121-20 et suivants du Code de la consommation, le client dispose d'un délai de quatorze jours francs pour exercer son droit de rétractation sans avoir à justifier de motifs. Le client doit avant tout retour faire une demande de retour dans l'espace client à l'endroit prévu à cet effet pour que son retour soit enregistré, validé et recevable. Nous devons avoir reçu le retour de la ou des pièce(s) dans un délai de quatorze jours francs à compter de la date de réception de sa commande pour que le retour soit recevable. Les frais d’envoi et de retour seront à la charge du client. Les produits, accompagnés de la copie de la facture d'achat, devront être retournés par colis remis contre signature, pour éviter tout conflit en cas de perte ou de colis endommagé, dans un parfait état et dans leur emballage d'origine (comprenant accessoires et notice d'utilisation) à l'adresse suivante : SARL PRO VSP- ZAE Mas de Garric, 2 rue de l’industrie, 34140 Mèze, France. Le retour ou l’échange se fait aux risques du client. Si l'article n'est pas retourné par le client dans un délai de quatorze (14) jours, le retour est considéré comme annulé et le client doit conserver le produit. Dans le cas d'un retour hors délai ou d'un retour refusé, le client devra régler des frais de port afin de pouvoir récupérer son colis. A défaut, le produit restera à la disposition du client pendant une période d’un an. Passé ce délai, le produit sera détruit. Les remboursements s'effectueront par crédit sur le mode de paiement utilisé lors de la commande, dans un délai de 15 jours. En cas de retour d'un produit endommagé, incomplet ou abîmé, celui-ci ne sera ni échangé ni remboursé. Ce droit de rétractation ne pourra pas s'appliquer sur les produits disponibles sur délai ainsi que sur certaines pièces par exemple : bombe de peinture, élément de carrosserie déjà peint, pièces électroniques pouvant avoir été endommagé lors du montage. Ce droit de rétractation ne pourra pas s'appliquer aux professionnels de l'automobile, le professionnel n'étant pas considéré comme un consommateur selon le Code de la consommation. Toute commande faite par un professionnel est donc ferme et définitive. Le délai de 14 jours franc débute à la date de livraison du colis pour une livraison à domicile ou à la date de disponibilité au point relais pour une livraison en point relais. En cas de retour d'une pièce d'une commande pour laquelle le client a bénéficié d'une promotion partielle ou intégrale des frais de port, le montant du remboursement sera imputé de la remise éventuelle. A défaut de respect par le client des présentes conditions, notamment des conditions de retour ou d’échange, PRO VSP ne pourra procéder au remboursement des produits concernés.
